Before Sisqo broke out with his signature blonde hair and thong in hand, he was a part of the R&B group Dru Hill. The group had a string of hits from 1996-1999 before each member branched off to do their own things solo. Sisqo was the breakout star as he managed to squeeze out to two platinum albums and a few top ten singles. Unknown to many, the group wrote and produced a lot of their own songs as well as dabbling with the pen for other artists. After Sisqo’s solo career cooled, the group reunited and last released an album, InDRUpendence Day in 2010. This album marked the group’s first release with new member Tao, who replaced original member Woody. InDRUpendence Day failed to make any impact on the charts or radio.
Although it has been a while since we have heard or seen Dru Hill, save for Sisqo’s appearances on a few reality shows, the group can currently been seen on tour, minus Woody, performing some classics and new music.
